Founded and built Phenona, a PaaS cloud computing startup,
acquired by
ActiveState in June 2011
Phenona was one of the pioneering platforms for containerization-in-the-cloud
technology, prior to Docker coming into the fray, which was acquired when I was 15 years old. See
my blog post
about the acquisition, or news articles by
The Register,
GeekWire,
or
ZDNet.
Worked with ActiveState on Stackato, a platform-as-a-service
for the

later acquired by HP
Developed core functionality for Stackato, enabling users to deploy their
applications to private clouds in a secure and scalable manner. Particular focus on containerization, devops,
and web development.
Interviewed software engineers for Karat, a platform for
providing fair
technical interviews at scale
I was a senior interview engineer for
Karat,
evaluating
candidates applying for positions at Karat’s large tech-centric enterprise clients.
Founded calmbox, a monthly subscription box for
calming/relaxation themed
products
Aside from software, I run
a monthly
subscription box for calming products, and
handle marketing, procurement, and day-to-day operations. More recently, implemented the subscription
e-commerce
backend from scratch in Ruby.
